Privacy Policy
How we handle your data — in plain language, and in line with GDPR and India's DPDP Act.
Last updated: September 2026
1. Who we are
Wisdom InfoSoft Pvt. Ltd. ("Wisdom InfoSoft", "we", "us", "our") is a software development and digital marketing company based at D151, First Floor, Phase 8, Industrial Area, SAS Nagar (Mohali), Punjab 160071, India. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we protect it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to our website wisdominfosoft.com, the platforms we build for clients (such as restaurant ordering websites), and the services we provide.
One policy, every market and service. Rather than maintaining separate privacy policies per country or per service, this single policy applies across all of our services (custom software, websites, restaurant ordering platforms, hosting, SEO/marketing) and all markets we serve. Where a particular region grants additional rights — such as the EU/UK under GDPR or India under the DPDP Act — those are set out in dedicated sections below.

2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and enquiry details submitted through our forms — name, email, phone number, company and project details.
- Information shared when you engage us for a project, including business and billing information.
- Content, files or credentials you provide so we can deliver a project.
- If you use a platform we operate for a client (for example, a restaurant ordering site), the order, reservation and contact details you submit there.
Information we collect automatically
- Standard technical data — IP address, browser type, device and pages visited — via cookies and similar technologies.
- Analytics data through Google Analytics, and advertising measurement via the Meta (Facebook) Pixel — both loaded only after you consent, via our cookie banner.
- Approximate location (country level) to show the right currency, language and content.
Information from third parties
We may receive limited information from advertising and lead platforms (for example, when you submit an enquiry through a social media ad), and from payment providers when a transaction is completed.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to enquiries and provide quotes.
- To deliver, manage and support the services or platforms you use.
- To send project updates, invoices and service communications.
- To improve our website, services and marketing — including measuring the performance of our ad campaigns.
- To send marketing communications where you have agreed, or where legally permitted — you can opt out at any time.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and to protect our rights.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
For visitors and clients in the EU/UK, we rely on: your consent (marketing, analytics and advertising cookies); performance of a contract (delivering the services you request); our legitimate interests (running and improving our business, in a way that does not override your rights); and legal obligations (tax, accounting, compliance).
5. Cookies & tracking
Our site uses essential cookies to function. Analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising (Meta Pixel) cookies are not loaded until you actively consent, via the cookie banner shown on your first visit. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer.
- Necessary — required for the site to work. Always on.
- Analytics — Google Analytics, to understand how the site is used. Loads only with consent.
- Marketing — Meta Pixel, to measure our advertising. Loads only with consent.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings; blocking all cookies may affect how the site works.
5b. Hosting & infrastructure we manage
Some services (including websites, restaurant ordering platforms and applications we build) involve hosting or server management. This works in one of two ways, and it affects who is responsible for data on that infrastructure:
- Wisdom InfoSoft-provided hosting: where we provide and operate the server, we act as the host and, where applicable, as a data processor on the Client's behalf for data stored on that infrastructure.
- Client-owned servers we manage: where a Client purchases or already owns their own server and engages us only to manage it, the Client (or their platform's own controller) remains the owner and controller of that infrastructure and any data on it. Our role is limited to the managed services agreed (such as updates, monitoring and security maintenance).
For engagements involving personal data processed on our clients' behalf, a separate written data processing arrangement is put in place on request, reflecting the specific services provided.
6. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Service providers / sub-processors who help us operate — hosting, email, payment gateways (such as PayPal and Stripe), analytics and communication tools — under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
- Professional advisers (accountants, legal) where necessary.
- Authorities where required by law, or to protect our rights and safety.
7. International transfers
We are based in India and serve clients worldwide, including in the EU. Where we handle personal data of individuals in the EU/UK, any transfer outside the EU/UK is protected by appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) and handled in line with applicable law.
8. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above — typically for the duration of our relationship plus the period required by tax, legal and accounting rules — after which it is deleted or anonymised.
9. How we protect your data
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including HTTPS, access controls and secure hosting — to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and review our practices regularly.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; and request portability. EU/UK residents have these rights under the GDPR; residents of India have rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), including access, correction, erasure and grievance redressal.
To exercise any right, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you are in a jurisdiction with its own data protection law not named above (for example, US state privacy laws), we will honour equivalent rights on request — contact us and we will confirm what applies to you.
11. Children's privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will remove it.
12. Third-party links
Our site and the platforms we build may link to third-party websites and services (including payment providers). We are not responsible for their privacy practices; please review their policies directly.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version, and material changes will be posted on this page.
14. Contact & grievances
For any question about this policy or your data — including grievance redressal under the DPDP Act, or GDPR requests — contact us at [email protected] or +91 931 500 0086. Please mark data-related requests "Privacy Request" so we can route them quickly.
